CWI Street Team Hits the Canyon County Fair

Published: August 3, 2015

The 2015 Canyon County Fair was full of families, 4H animals, carnival rides and, the College of Western Idaho. With backpacks full of sunglasses, chap sticks, hacky sacks, beach balls and fans, Saturday fair-goers were met with all kinds of CWI fun! In addition, the Street Team shared the Upgrade U.O message.   CWI Advisor, Oster Hernandez kept the fun going at the CWI Community Stage, featuring fun acts for the entire family, including; Jugglemania, Reptile Adventures and Magician/Mentalist Hart Keene.

The Horticulture Club Street Team blazed their way through hot weather with experience and great stories to encourage everyone they met to upgrade their education by attending CWI. Their stories of commitment and courage to continue in their education inspire many to consider going to college. Second year student, Jacqueline, was amazing with her upbeat attitude and genuine care for those she met. Her ability to share in people’s future goals and dreams in a matter of minutes was very inspiring and really what Street Teams are all about.
