Students with the College of Western Idaho Art Club spent the day in creative bliss at the Nampa Festival of Art event August 9 and 10. First thing in the morning, Amanda Richards, Brittany Bishop and, Teresa Gonzalez all gathered in the rose garden at Lakeview Park in Nampa to judge entries for the art contest. After careful deliberation, the team made their choice and joined the crowds enjoying the many local artisan booths throughout the park.
Once again, the team found several current students enjoying a community event; they spoke about their excitement and preparation for school beginning in just a little over 2 weeks! Alumni were also there and supported the Street Team with high-fives.
The Culinary Club covered the park on a beautiful Sunday afternoon talking to everyone about CWI’s technical and certificate programs. They encouraged potential students to prepare now to attend in the spring. The teenagers wanted to know more about concurrent credits for high school students. With everyone that they met, the Street Team decided that there is something for everyone at the College of Western Idaho.
