Looking to build leadership skills?

Consider participating in CWI's many leadership development programs on campus and begin building your knowledge and skills! With different programs focusing on different areas of leadership development, you will be able to find a program that works for you.

By participating in our programs, you can:

  • Enhance individual leadership skills
  • Discover new interests and find out what motivates you
  • Learn best practices for leading in a group setting
  • Take various personality assessments that can teach you more about the way you lead
  • Meet new students on campus with similar interests and goals

Current Leadership Programs

Ignite Leadership Series

Ignite Leadership is an introductory program and transformative experience for students interested in exploring their leadership potential

How to Register: The link will be posted at the beginning of the fall and spring semester. Watch for an email in your CWI student email. If you have any questions in the meantime, please reach out to sitlalyescamilla@cwi.edu.

Note: If you are a student club, an organization within CWI, or you teach a CWID 101 class, please email sitlalyescamilla@cwi.edu to schedule an individualized Ignite Leadership training for your group.

LEAD: The series

This series is designed to engage advanced student leaders in a series of developmental workshops informed by the Five Exemplary Practices of Leadership model. Participants must apply and be accepted to join.

NOTE: this program will only happen once per academic year. If you are a student club, an organization within CWI, or you teach a CWID 101 class please email harrisonwatts@cwi.edu to inquire about an individualized training for your group.

the Leadership certificate program

The Leadership Certificate Program (LCP) is a self-paced, comprehensive experience for any student to participate in and design their own journey through leadership.

How to Enroll: Complete the Leadership Certificate Interest Form. Shortly afterwards you will receive an email to schedule a quick meeting with your LCP Advisor to go over the commitments and responsibilities of those enrolled in this program and any questions.
