Students Requesting Exam Accommodations

College of Western Idaho students seeking testing accommodations will first meet with a Student Disability Services (SDS) Coordinator and file all necessary documentation. Once accommodations have been approved, the SDS Coordinator will send a Letter of Accommodation (LOA) to your Instructor. Instructors will then proceed to complete an Alternative Testing Agreement that will allow you to schedule exams with accommodations for their class. The steps are outlined below:

  1. Student meets with an SDS Coordinator and has accommodations approved.

  2. Instructor receives LOA for each student with accommodations, and completes an Alternative Testing Agreement for each class.

  3. Once Testing Services receives the Alternative Testing Agreement from the Instructor, students can proceed to schedule their exam through their RegisterBlast account. Note: Students should always use their student email with RegisterBlast to ensure that their approved accommodations will be available at the time of scheduling. RegisterBlast uses single sign-on (SSO) technology.

  4. Arrive at the Testing Center per their scheduled appointment and location. (Same day appointments are not permitted.)

Note: Students are responsible for selecting their accommodations at the time they schedule their testing appointment. If you have any questions about scheduling with accommodations, please reach out to Testing Services.

If you would like to learn more about accommodations or helping students with disabilities, you may visit the Disability Services page for more information.
