Interested in a rewarding career in healthcare? The Certified Nursing Assistant Preparation course at College of Western Idaho (CWI) is a stepping stone into the world of nursing. This program is designed for individuals aspiring to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), a crucial role in healthcare settings. You will gain the foundational knowledge and practical skills necessary to provide high-quality care to patients in 12 weeks.

The course covers key areas such as patient care, basic nursing skills, and infection control, ensuring you are well-prepared for the CNA certification exam. In addition to in-person instruction, an online instruction option is also available paired with in-person skills training.

  • Nursing Assistants

    Provide or assist with basic care or support under the direction of onsite licensed nursing staff. Perform duties such as monitoring of health status, feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, or ambulation of patients in a health or nursing facility. May include medication administration and other health-related tasks. Includes nursing care attendants, nursing aides, and nursing attendants.
