College of Western Idaho (CWI) students can explore healthcare programs, meet local employers, and learn about transfer opportunities during Healthcare Discovery Night on Monday, Oct. 5.
Students can meet with faculty and staff to learn about healthcare pathways including Certified Nursing Assistant, Practical Nursing, Dental Assisting, Surgical Technology, Occupational Therapy Assistant, Physical Therapist Assistant, and more.
Representatives from Boise State University and Idaho State University will be available to discuss opportunities for students interested in continuing their education after CWI. Local healthcare employers, including St. Luke’s, Saint Alphonsus, and Terry Reilly, will share information about healthcare careers, employment opportunities, and skills needed in the industry.
Students can also tour lab spaces inside the Nampa Campus Norco Health and Science Building (NCHS) and learn about hands-on training available through CWI healthcare programs.
