College of Western Idaho (CWI) welcomes back Trevi Hardy, who rejoins the College as Assistant Vice President of Employer Partnerships and Workforce Development.
Hardy brings more than 15 years of experience in education, workforce training, and industry-aligned employer partnerships across Idaho’s career technical education ecosystem.
Most recently, she served at Idaho Division of Career Technical Education (IDCTE) as the Director of Federal and Related Programs, overseeing approximately $13 million in annually in federal and state funding supporting workforce initiatives.
These initiatives include Adult Education, the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act (Perkins), Fire Service Training, Centers for New Directions, STAR Motorcycle Safety, and workforce training programs delivered across Idaho’s six technical colleges and the Idaho Department of Correction.
Previously, Hardy served as Program Director for Adult Education and GED at IDCTE, where she managed Idaho’s Adult Education and Family Literacy Act (AEFLA) grant program, led statewide policy development, and collaborated with Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) partners on the Idaho state plan.
Her experience also includes nearly 14 years at CWI in Adult Education and Career and Technical Education leadership roles, where she helped build employer partnerships and advance integrated education and training pathways.
“Returning to CWI feels like coming home,” said Hardy. “My time with the Idaho Division of Career Technical Education deepened my understanding of Idaho’s workforce ecosystem and will inform my work at CWI. The Workforce Development and Employer Partnerships team is doing remarkable work serving students, supporting employers, and strengthening our region’s economy, and I’m excited to contribute to that momentum.”
Hardy’s return comes at an important time as the College continues aligning programs with labor market needs and expanding partnerships with employers across the region.
“It’s terrific to have Trevi back at CWI in this leadership role,” said Vice President of Strategy and Operations, Nic Miller. “She brings a combination of statewide systems expertise, deep relationships with Idaho employers, and a strong history with CWI’s students and programs.”
Hardy will be based at CWI’s Nampa Micron Education Center (NMEC), where she will work closely with academic, workforce development, and employer partners to support the College’s mission of empowering students to thrive and fueling Idaho’s workforce.
