Congratulations to Director of Student Retention and Engagement, Amber Eubanks, who has been named College of Western Idaho’s (CWI) 2026 Staff of the Year. Named Staff of the Month for May 2026, Eubanks is recognized for her leadership, commitment to creating a connected student experience, and ability to bring teams together across the College to support student success.
“Receiving Staff of the Year is an honor, and I am thankful to whoever took the time to nominate me,” said Eubanks. “Looking back on my time at CWI, I feel fortunate for this experience and for the trust that leaders, past and present, have extended to me over the years. In all honesty, this recognition happens because of the people and departments willing to partner with me. Without a willingness across campus to think creatively and collaborate, I would not be recognized. I am also thankful for the Student Engagement Team. They rally around our mission to build a seamless student experience every day, doing the heavy lifting even when the work is not easy or comfortable.
"As for what this means to me, it feels like a sign that we are heading in the right direction. I can get focused on the day-to-day work, so it is nice to step back and realize we might be role modeling what good collaboration looks like at CWI.”
