F. Office of Instructional Excellence

All College of Western Idaho faculty have access to instructional support through the College’s Office of Instructional Excellence (OIE). The OIE organization should be available for all faculty in the dashboard on Canvas. OIE offers a range of activities to assist faculty in becoming better teaching professionals. Their mission is to improve the classroom experience for faculty and students through tools, training and technology designed to create a team of faculty learners and experts.

Faculty should consult with their direct supervisors regarding any required OIE training, which may include Faculty Foundations and online/hybrid certification. Faculty training records of OIE courses and trainings are available on the OIE Canvas site under OIE Training Record.
