Hispanic Student Resources

You are here

Hispanic Student Resources is dedicated to fostering and celebrating the academic, personal, and cultural success of our Hispanic students. We create a vibrant community where diverse identities are embraced, and each student is empowered to reach their full potential.

Through transformative programs, we guide our students on their journeys:

Latinx Scholars Program: Providing a supportive learning environment in a three-class cohort model and fostering academic peer connections during critical milestones in a students’ first year transitioning to CWI.

Navegando Mentoring Program: Matching first-year students with experienced second-year mentors who offer guidance, encouragement, and cultural understanding throughout a student’s time at CWI.

Siempre Unidos Student Club: Building a platform for cultural expression, community engagement, and leadership development through student-driven initiatives.

Nuestra Celebracion

Hispanic student at graduation holding diploma and wearing a stoleCelebrate your accomplishments at Nuestra Celebracion! This annual event recognizes Hispanic student graduates prior to the College's formal commencement ceremony. Family and friends are encouraged to attend!

As part of this celebration, each graduate will be gifted a stole to represent this achievement. Stoles are commonly worn by graduates during ceremonies to recognize achievements, indicate membership in an organization, or affiliate an individual with a specific group. Stoles can be reserved by contacting one of the Student Success Coaches listed below.
