Road Closures Near Nampa Campus
The City of Nampa Police Department has announced that there will be road closures in effect today, Wednesday (Oct. 17), from approximately 4-6 p.m. impacting travel to and from College of Western Idaho’s Nampa Campus buildings. They are expecting heavy traffic in the area of Idaho Center Boulevard following today’s Power Up Idaho event at the Idaho Center – due to event attendance, road construction, and rush hour traffic.
What You Need to Know
Starting at approximately 4 p.m.:
- Idaho Center Blvd will be closed to southbound traffic at Cherry Lane.
- Birch Lane will be closed eastbound at 11th Ave N. to through traffic. You WILL be allowed to use Birch Lane to access the Nampa Campus main Academic Building and Aspen Classroom Building only.
- Idaho Center Blvd will be open to northbound traffic. Employees and students can use northbound Idaho Center Blvd to access Nampa Campus from the Garrity exit.
Nampa P.D. is advising all motorists to expect delays from 4-6 p.m. If you will be traveling to CWI Nampa Campus this afternoon please be prepared for additional traffic and plan accordingly.
