Barnes Certifies to Teach Leadership Curriculum

Published: July 30, 2018

Congratulations to Dr. Yolonda Barnes, Assistant Professor in College of Western Idaho’s Administrative Specialist program and advisor for the Beta Sigma Pi Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, who recently became a certified instructor of Phi Theta Kappa's Leadership Development Studies curriculum.

Barnes was among 22 North American participants who successfully completed the Leadership Faculty Certification session in Jackson, Mississippi, July 9-11, 2018. During the training, participants learned how the Leadership curriculum employs five distinct learning methodologies proven effective in leadership development for students while discovering best practices for implementation. Barnes looks forward to collaborating and designing this renowned leadership program for CWI’s Honor Society.
