2023 ASCWI Election Results

Published: March 24, 2023

The results are in! Congratulations to the newly elected Associated Students of College of Western Idaho (ASCWI) Student Government officers for the 2023-24 academic year.

After an engaging election season, ASCWI is proud to announce Casey Dudley has been elected as the ASCWI Student Body President and Raquel Valdibieso has been elected Vice-President. Dudley and Valdibieso were elected on a platform that seeks to enhance a sense of community among students that leverages the resources available to empower students to achieve their educational goals.

Travis Raney was also elected to serve as an ASCWI Senator for the upcoming academic year. During the election process, students could nominate other students for the remaining senator positions, which may lead to additional senators once that process is complete. Any remaining vacant positions will be open for all students to apply for as the President and Vice President build out their executive cabinet.

ASCWI is also pleased to announce the Student Services and Activities Fee Referendum has passed with 67% of voters approving the creation of the fee. These funds will provide ASCWI, and the student body as a whole, with critical funding for valuable services, activities, and resources that enhance the student experience.

“We extend our gratitude to all candidates who ran for office and to all of the students who participated in the democratic electoral process,” said Assistant Director of Student Engagement, Amber Eubanks. “We believe that every student's voice matters and encourage all students to continue engaging with, and contributing to our vibrant campus community.”

For those with questions or in need of more information, please contact Amber Eubanks at ambereubanks@cwi.edu.
