Whether you are just starting out or looking to enhance your welding skills, College of Western Idaho’s (CWI) short-term Welding training may be ideal. We provide individualized instruction tailored to your welding capabilities and goals. Our program offers the flexibility to choose courses based on your preferred welding method, accommodating both beginners and intermediate learners.
Our Select Your Method courses, spanning five weeks and 30 total hours, allow you to focus on MIG, TIG, or Stick welding. You will learn about welding safety, machine set-up, and various welding techniques, complemented by ample practice time. This course is perfect for a comprehensive introduction to welding or for honing your existing skills. With options for Saturday classes throughout the year and weekday evening classes during the summer, training is designed to fit into your schedule.
Short-term Welding classes, provided through Workforce Development, cost approximately $595 a class.
Use hand-welding, flame-cutting, hand-soldering, or brazing equipment to weld or join metal components or to fill holes, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products.
