College of Western Idaho's (CWI) Medical Administrative Assistant program, offered through CareerStep, is designed to equip you with the skills needed to excel as a medical administrative assistant. This role is crucial in medical offices, where you will manage essential tasks and documents and act as the face of the office.
In as little as eight (8) months, our fully-online classes offer flexibility, allowing you to complete coursework at your convenience. The program covers a wide range of responsibilities, including patient check-in, communication with staff, appointment management, processing payments and insurance claims, and maintaining medical records while complying with HIPAA regulations.
Minimum age requirement to start this program is 18.
