A general studies common read experience, Big Read at College of Western Idaho (CWI) brought the campus community and Treasure valley together to explore one book through shared reading and discussion. Funded by the National Endowment for the Arts, Big Read is a nationwide program designed to spark connection and discovery through literature.

During the 2025-2026 academic year, participants engaged with Blackfish City by Sam J. Miller, exploring its themes through conversations, events, and interdisciplinary perspectives.
