Refund Policy:

Full Refund:

If you cancel three business days or more before the start date of the class, you will receive a full refund.

Partial Refund:

For any cancellations within three business days prior to the start date of the class, students will receive a refund minus a $25 administrative fee.  The three business days does NOT include the first day of the class.

No refunds after the class start date.

Non-attendance in the class will incur the full course fee.

Apprenticeship Attendance Policy

For Plumbing, HVAC, and Electrical students only:

If a student who has enrolled in a CWI Apprentice course elects to withdraw from the course within the first 10 business days of class, the student will be financially liable for a $25 drop fee which will be applied to the student’s account. In addition, if the student set up a tuition payment plan with the College, they will remain financially liable for an administrative payment plan set-up fee not to exceed $50.

Class Cancellation:

CWI Workforce Development reserves the right to cancel a class.  Participants will be issued a full refund if this occurs.

This refund policy is printed at the bottom of every WD receipt.

Delinquent account balances will be turned over to a collection agency. Any fees associated with the collection of the debt are the responsibility of the student. By registering with the College of Western Idaho, you authorize the College and its respective agents and contractors to contact you regarding your student account, including but not limited to any outstanding or delinquent balances that are owed the College, at the current or any future email address or number provided for cellular phone or other wireless device, using automated telephone dialing equipment or artificial or pre-recorded voice or text messages, or otherwise.

Drop Policy

General Workforce Development Drop Deadlines:

  • Early Drop: If the student drops a class three business days or more before the class start date, they are dropped and receive a full refund.
  • Late Drop: If a student drops a class less than three business days but before the start date, they are dropped and receive a refund minus $25 cancellation fee.
  • No Drop: Class drop cut-off time is midnight the day before the class start date. After that time, students cannot drop or cancel their class.
  • Non-attendance in the class will incur the full course fee.

Apprentice Programs Drop Deadlines:

Applies ONLY to HVAC, Electrical or Plumbing Apprentice program registrations:

  • Early Drop: If the student drops a class three business days or more before the class start date, they are dropped and receive a full refund.
  • Late Drop: If a student drops a class up to the 10th business day after the start date of the class, they are dropped and receive a refund minus $25 cancellation fee.
  • No Drop: Class drop cut-off time is midnight of the 10th business day after the class start date. After that time, students cannot drop or cancel their class.
  • Non-attendance in the class will incur the full course fee.
