Improve your Math, Reading, and Writing skills through College of Western Idaho (CWI) Adult Education (AE) program. We are dedicated to providing you the skills needed to meet your goals in the workplace and the community. All AE classes and services are 100% FREE.

Most Adult Education classes are closed until the fall semester. Enrollment begins in July, and classes start in August.*
*Options that are still available include: online GED preparation, Math Essentials class, and Digital Creativity class.
If you are a new or returning student who is interested in joining these courses, or if you are interested in taking Adult Ed classes in August, sign up to be contacted for an appointment. The appointment might include taking the 90-minute placement test(s) in reading and/or math, filling out paperwork, signing up for study, and setting up necessary accounts/tech. If needed, the lab teacher may have you make another appointment to complete the process.
Note: Testing and registration for AE takes place in our Boise Adult Center for Education/AE Lab at the Mallard Building.

Adult Education at the Nampa Canyon County Center

To register for AE, schedule one appointment to complete a Reading GOALS test and a Math GOALS test. Testing can take up to three hours. After testing is completed, you will be scheduled to come back to complete your paperwork and create a study plan to fit your needs. To register for Adult Education, you will need to attend an orientation and testing session. Your first visit will be approximately 2 1/2 hours.
