Program Overview

The Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology Basic Technical Certificate (BTC) program at College of Western Idaho (CWI) provides specialized training designed to meet the growing demand for skilled professionals in the semiconductor industry. You will gain practical experience in quality control, statistical processing, and semiconductor nanofabrication, preparing you for an entry-level role as a lab or manufacturing technician. As a part of CWI’s commitment to providing flexible, affordable education, this program offers a pathway for students aiming to earn a four-year degree or pursue advanced studies. Courses within the BTC can be applied toward CWI’s STEM Associate of Science degree, giving you the foundation to seamlessly transfer to a university. With high-quality instruction and adaptable course options, you can build a strong academic and career pathway while gaining skills that are in demand today and essential for tomorrow.
