The mission of the Health Science program is to provide students with a curricular foundation that prepares them for admission into a professional program of study within the health field, or to transfer to a multitude of health-related degrees at a four year university. The program focuses on developing the knowledge base, skill sets, and professional experiences necessary for success in a health science related field.
Why This Program
Courses will provide students foundational education to support the pursuit of health science programs.
Students will learn how to utilize the language of medicine and to effectively communicate within the industry.
Students will learn problem solving skills and provide the opportunity to apply solutions for issues related to human health, medicine and healthcare.
Students will be prepared for the rigor of a four-year program or career upon graduating from CWI.
Students will have the opportunity to develop real world skills and have in field experiences in the Health Sciences
Students will engage in an internship experience that will allow them to explore their career choice.

|1 Priority registration is limited to continuing students. Students are assigned a registration time based upon their cumulative credits earned. The Health Science degree is an excellent degree if you are seeking admission into professional programs such as Surgical Technician, Nursing or Respiratory Therapy, just to name a few. In addition it's a great way to accomplish your first two years, then transfer into a four year program in medicine, dentistry, clinical laboratory science, physical therapy, or numerous other careers in a health related field.
