About Me:
Prior to Kiana starting her career at CWI as a staff sign language interpreter, she worked in West Ada School District interpreting in the K-12 setting.  She also has some experience in freelance interpreting around the Treasure Valley and video relay service (VRS). Kiana grew up here in Idaho but attended college in Orem at Utah Valley University, where she obtained her B.A. degree in Deaf studies with an emphasis in Interpreting. She graduated in 2016 and has been working in education ever since, she prides herself on being a lifelong learner. In 2014 she did a 2-month internship to Ghana Africa where she taught and interpreted at a Deaf and Blind school. Kiana also volunteers her time by helping with ISDB (Idaho School for Deaf and Blind) Adventure Club where they teach Deaf students how to ski in Sun Valley.
Kiana enjoys going camping, skiing, hiking, and fly fishing. On the weekend she enjoys hanging with friends and family and playing board games. Kiana is very excited to meet everyone at CWI and start her journey.
