Stephanie Sevigny was born and raised in Idaho Falls where nerdy parents and programs at the nearby national laboratory sparked her interest in the sciences. She received a B.S. in Physics from Brigham Young University. Then, for a change of pace, she headed off to the University of California, Berkeley where she earned her M.S. in Nuclear Engineering by designing and building the probes used to measure the magnetic field in a fusion experiment at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.
After a brief detour into the world of business and finance, she accepted a position teaching high school physics, chemistry and earth science and discovered her passion for teaching. She's excited to bring that enthusiasm to CWI and introduce students to the wonders of physics. When she's not at CWI, she can generally be found chasing her two children. She and her family enjoy camping, visiting museums, and playing board games.
