Mr. Poston has an ecclectic background in communication, journalism, music, opera and professional voice overs. Mr. Poston was born in Iowa where he attended public schools. He graduated with a bachelor's degree from the University of Iowa in Communication and Theatre Arts. From there he successsfully completed studies at Simpson College in Iowa culminating in a bachelor's degree in music. He continued in the performing arts being accepted into and graduating from the prestigious opera master's program of The Boston Conservatory.  Mr. Poston has performed musical theatre and opera roles ranging from Billy Bigelow in the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical Carousel at Simpson College, to the Count in Mozart's Marriage of Figaro at the Boston Conservatory to the role of Sharpless in Puccini's Madama Butterfly at Opera Idaho.  He's also performed as an apprentice artist with the Des Moines Metro Opera, Lake George Opera and Central City Opera.  Recently, he’s performed the lead role of Judd Fry in Opera Idaho’s production of Oklahoma and as Captain Von Trapp in this summer’s production of The Sound of Music.

After graduating, Mr. Poston refocused his career goals and began working in the world of television news. He's worked as an award winning news anchor and reporter at TV stations all across the country including the CBS and ABC affiliates in Boise and Nampa. He’s worked at Boise State public radio as a fill in news anchor.

He has a professional voice over studio in his home. 

His hobbies include basketball, jogging, hiking, and golf.  Mr. Poston and his wife Dora own “Kitties Secret Garden” in Caldwell, where rescued stray cats are spayed and neutered.  They live in Boise with their lovable, 100 pound black lab named Van Gogh.
