Heather Schoenherr, MS, is a Professor of Psychology at the College of Western Idaho. She earned her MS in Experimental Psychology from Idaho State University. General psychology, statistical methods, and writing for the social sciences are her favorite classes to teach. Heather is passionate about providing opportunities and recognition for students at the community college level and serves as the advisor for Psi Beta, co-advises the Psychology Club, and co-chairs the President’s Writing Awards. Currently, she is the Rocky Mountain Regional Vice President of Psi Beta. In addition, Heather guides students in completing independent research on various topics and taking part in the Psi Beta National Research Project. Many students present their research at regional and national conferences. Heather’s scholarly interests include the impact of social media on mental health, high-impact practices in the classroom, and promoting successful transfer to a university.
