My name is Denali Minnick. I grew up in the Treasure Valley and lived in Washington D.C for 4 years before attending Hobart and William Smith Colleges where I received my undergraduate degrees in Environmental Studies and Anthropology. While I enjoyed my time in Western New York I missed the west coast and found myself teaching at Nampa High School through AmeriCorps’ Teach for America Leadership Program. Throughout my first 2 years of teaching, I continued my education at Boise State University and earned my MA in Curriculum and Instruction. After teaching physics, geology, forensics and other physical sciences for 3 years I found myself wanting to explore other fields related to education. In August of 2022 I became a life skills instructor for the Idaho Job Corps and fostered my love for student advising and support services. I’m now excited to be a part of the CWI student academic support and advising team.
In my free time I enjoy backpacking, fly fishing, skiing, mountain biking, and exploring the outdoors. My partner and I spend our days playing with our two dogs, cooking, and solving
jig-saw puzzles.
