Ms. Conklin began working for the College of Western Idaho in 2015 with the very first Medical Assisting Credit Program class. Prior to CWI, she taught at Carrington College and Milan Institute.
Ms. Conklin carries certificates in both RMA (AMT) & CMA (AAMA). Prior to a career in education, she was a Mobile Intensive Care Paramedic and worked extensively throughout Southern California. After sustaining a career ending injury, she explored other medical related options and certified as a medical assistant in 1991. She worked as a medical assistant for many years in many different clinical settings.
It’s been said that when Ms. Conklin passes, on her head stone it will say “In the real world” because she is known for relating educational items to personal war stories and practical application of such skills.
