College of Western Idaho (CWI) is governed by a volunteer, five-member Board of Trustees. Trustees are elected at-large from within Ada and Canyon counties for staggered, four-year terms and derive their authority from and hold office in accordance with State of Idaho Code.
The CWI Board of Trustees, in its commitment to openness and transparency, posts Board minutes once approved. The standard practice of public entities is to approve minutes of their previous meeting at the beginning of the next meeting. Given that the Board meets monthly, minutes will be posted approximately 30 days after each meeting.
Meetings are typically held in room 122 of the Nampa Campus Academic Building (NCAB), unless otherwise specified in the details below.
Individuals wishing to submit input to the Board may do so by submitting a comment in writing to trustees@cwi.edu at least 24 hours in advance of the meeting. Individuals are not invited to speak openly in a public meeting in order to effectuate a timely and efficient meeting; however, the public comments may be shared in summary fashion at the discretion of the Board Chair.
