Facilities Update: New Carpet and Pavement
The College of Western Idaho (CWI) Facilities Planning and Management Department is excited to announce updates to multiple projects around campus this summer.
CWI's Ada County Campus Pintail Center and the Nampa Campus Academic Building received a recent update with new carpet installed in common areas. The Academic Building carpet installation is in preparation for a Micro Market food service similar to the one available at the Pintail Center. It is anticipated that the Micro Market will be fully completed and open for business in August.
Anyone visiting the Academic Building will also notice the north parking lot has been seal coated and restriped. Meanwhile, the first phase of the Canyon County Center parking lot project is also complete. The south lot will be open for parking on Friday, July 17. This means the north lot will be closed as work begins on the second phase of the project. Due to the second phase having limited space, a small portion of the south lot will be fenced off for construction staging. All cars located in the north lot need to be moved by the end of the day Friday (July 17) or they will be towed.
If you have any concerns or questions don’t hesitate to contact Facilities Planning and Management.

Blackboard Archival Reminder
College of Western Idaho (CWI) would like to remind employees that Blackboard content from the semester prior to summer 2014 will no longer be available on the Blackboard Archive site after July 31. CWI conducted its annual Blackboard update and part of the process included moving archived content to an external hard drive. The change is intended to support data integrity on Blackboard. Faculty will still be able to access Blackboard content prior to summer 2014 through a Helpdesk ticket. Faculty are encouraged to export any content for which they want 24 hour access prior to July 31.
Please contact CWI’s Center for Teaching and Learning with any questions or concerns.
