MEDIA ADVISORY – The College of Western Idaho (CWI) Board of Trustees announced, Tuesday (Feb. 19), that David Shellberg has been appointed to serve as Vice President of Instruction and Student Services for the College.
“I am extremely pleased to be associated with one of the fastest growing community colleges in the nation,” Shellberg said. “I couldn’t be more excited to join in the long-term commitment to make CWI Idaho’s most comprehensive resource for higher education.”
Shellberg has served as the Interim Vice President since August 2012. Prior to CWI, he spent over 24 years in post-secondary education, serving all that time within the Colorado Community College System (CCC). He most recently comes from Arapahoe Community College in Denver, Colo. where he served as Executive Vice President for six years.
“We couldn’t be happier to have David join our team,” CWI President Bert Glandon said. “David has quickly proven to be a valued member of the CWI community. His dedication and commitment to excellence in education is apparent in his work served in the interim role. David’s experience will help us continue our growth and success in serving our community.”
Shellberg is a graduate of Colorado State University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. He currently resides in Eagle, Idaho and enjoys time on the golf course sporting an impressive five handicap.
