On Sept. 12, the CWI Culinary program participated in the fifteenth-annual A Chef’s Affaire, which helped raise more than $160,000 for The Idaho Foodbank. CWI Culinary, which has been a regular participant in the event, contributed again this year by helping prepare and serve dinner while also providing an auction package. Program Chair Kelly Steely and Instructors Jackie McDonald and Sonja Degenhardt were joined by a group of students at the event.
This year’s auction package, which is provided by Chef Steely, includes a four-course meal for a party of six that will be prepared by her team at CWI Culinary. Incredibly, this item raised $1,900 for the Foodbank. Each course of the meal will be hosted and paired with the following Idaho wineries: Huston Vineyards, Hat Ranch Winery, Bitner Vineyards, and Fujishin Family Cellars. Car service will also be provided by CWI’s own Brian Newkirk.
Thank you to everyone from CWI Culinary that helped make such a significant impact on this great community event.
