Common Read Series: Me Too and Reconciliation

Published: January 30, 2019

College of Western Idaho’s Common Read Series presents “Me Too and Reconciliation” Wednesday, Feb. 13, from 10:00 – 11:15 a.m. at the Ada County Campus Pintail Center in the commons area.

The Common Read Series encourages audience members and speakers to take part by reading a common book or document, and arrive ready to engage in a rousing, yet respectful, conversation about the ideas encapsulated in the selected reading. “Me Too and Reconciliation” will focus on writing central to the #MeToo movement and gender equality.

Documents discussed can be found on Blackboard in MyCommons and will include:

  • “The Silence” by Junot Díaz
  • “Reconciling Rage and Compassion” by Aya de Leon

All are invited to attend a panel discussion followed by a meet and greet and pizza. Contact Jana McCurdy at 208.562.3317 or janamccurdy@cwi.edu for more information.
