Published: December 19, 2012

MEDIA ADVISORY – Several local community organizations including ten students in the College of Western Idaho Automotive Technology program, Larry H. Miller, Gary’s Automotive, Boise Car Upholstery, and many others joined forces with Wish Granters to help a terminally ill man receive his wish of getting his prized classic car restored. Bruce, like so many others in our nation, is entering this holiday season fighting a terminal illness. He has terminal Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and his wish was to restore a 1969 Mercury Cyclone Cobra Jet. The car received a complete overhaul inside and out helping make Bruce’s wish a reality. The totally restored car was presented to Bruce and his family on Thursday, Dec. 20.

Wish Granters is a local organization that grants wishes to adults 18 and older in Ada and Canyon counties who have terminal illness. They come into the lives of individuals who are facing very difficult times and give them something to look forward to, something to hold on to, at a time when they need it the most. These wishes also give their families a memory they can keep forever. For more information about Wish Granters including other people awaiting wishes contact Doug at 377-9029.
