Mike Kirkpatrick has been recognized as College of Western Idaho’s (CWI) Staff of the Month for July 2018. Kirkpatrick has been with the College for three years. Beginning in our eCampus department, he amassed a deep and diverse knowledge of CWI later being promoted to a Student Success Advisor.
Kirkpatrick’s love of learning and passion for education is prevalent in all he does. He shows firsthand how important student and peer interactions are. As a Student Success Advisor, Kirkpatrick makes sure each student is heard and has the tools to work towards their goals. He has taught his peers the importance of asking deep-thinking questions and challenges us all to be active listeners.
Kirkpatrick grew up jumping in Lake Coeur d’ Alene and bike riding everywhere! In his free time, he enjoys hiking in the Boise foothills, sipping coffee over a game of chess, and a little meditation now and then.
