Associated Students of the College of Western Idaho

Associated Students of College of Western Idaho (ASCWI), your student government, represents your voice with College of Western Idaho (CWI) leadership and the community while working to serve and support students by:

  • Presenting, listening to, and resolving student concerns.
  • Identifying and fixing problems.
  • Seeking opportunities for improvement within the College.
  • Providing resources for students.
  • Enhancing student life and the community around CWI.

ASCWI Meetings

Students, faculty, and staff are welcome and encouraged to attend ASCWI's monthly meetings, held on the second Tuesday of each month. Check the Calendar of Events for meeting dates and Zoom links.

Student Leadership Meetings

Student Leadership Meetings bring a member of each student club and organization together to report on past, present, and planned events. These meetings occur on the first Tuesday of the following months:

  • Fall 2026: October, November, December
  • Spring 2027: March, April, May

The meeting agenda is updated on a monthly basis, generally 48 hours before the next scheduled meeting.

Student Government Meetings

During Student Government Meetings, ASCWI reports updates and news related to College Council, the Board of Trustees, and multiple committees across campus. These meetings are open forum, so please come and contribute your thoughts on how to make CWI a better place for students. 

Dates and agendas will be posted with 48 hours notice, as necessary, to serve the general welfare of ASCWI.

ASCWI Officers

ASCWI is always looking for passionate students to take part of student government. Interested students can be a part of ASCWI as an officer or delegate by applying to open positions.

Eligibility 

To be eligible to serve on ASCWI, students must: 

  • Be enrolled in at least six (6) credits at CWI.
  • Have a semester and cumulative 2.5 GPA.
  • Be in good standing.
  • Be available on Tuesdays from 5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. for ASCWI meetings.
