About:
Helping people navigate life's challenges is at the heart of who Traci is. While her professional journey began in corporate leadership, it was her passion for understanding people, building meaningful connections, and helping others grow that ultimately led her to become a counselor.
A fifth-generation Idahoan, Traci earned her bachelor's degree from Boise State University before spending several years living and working around the country. The experiences, people, and cultures she encountered along the way broadened her perspective and eventually brought her back home to Idaho, where she earned her Master of Science in Clinical Counseling from Northwest Nazarene University with an emphasis in grief and trauma.
Traci believes that healing begins when people feel safe enough to be themselves. She strives to create a space where students feel heard, accepted, and supported — whether they're navigating stress, relationships, anxiety, grief, trauma, or simply trying to figure out what's next. Her approach is grounded in Emotionally Focused Therapy and integrates trauma-informed practices such as somatic therapy, motivational interviewing, Jin Shin Jyutsu, and yoga-informed techniques to support the mind-body connection.
When she's not meeting with students, you'll most likely find Traci outside enjoying Idaho's rivers, lakes, and mountains. She loves swimming, rafting, kayaking, paddleboarding, fishing, gardening, painting, and pottery. Above all, she treasures time spent traveling, laughing, and making memories with her husband, family, friends, and their miniature dachshund.
