    This workshop will discuss:

    • 5 – 7 day study plans
    • tips for reviewing lecture notes, textbook readings, additional course material, and critical summary exam review notes
    • test taking strategies for various types of exams including essay, short response, matching, true/false, multiple choice, and online exams

    Learn strategies for enhancing memory retention for in-class lectures, textbook readings, and online course content. This workshop will discuss: 

    • interesting brain facts
    • the forgetting curve
    • basic concepts on how the brain stores information utilizing encoding, storage, and retrieval techniques
    • differences between short-term and long-term memory, schemas, procedural versus declarative knowledge, and multi-sensory strategies
    • The six basic forgetting theories and the Twelve Principles of Memory will also be covered.
