Juried Student Art Exhibition - CWI 2022 Connections Project

We are now accepting submissions for the 2022 Juried Student Art Exhibition, which will take place virtually on Thur., April 28, 2021. Submit your work in the Connections Project portal in the CWI Blackboard myCommons organization. (You will need to be logged into Blackboard to submit.) All currently registered students are encouraged to participate. The 2022 exhibition will be juried by Randy Van Dyck, a Boise based artist and owner of Capitol Contemporary Gallery. All selected works will be included in the catalog for the exhibit. The winner will receive $150.00.


Students may submit up to three works for consideration. A PDF file should be submitted for each work. 

  • Photographs of 2-D and 3-D work must be in the form of an attached PDF with a secondary attachment of the artist statement as a Word or PDF document.
  • Video submissions – a list of works including links to online or downloadable digital content that does NOT require a login, password or membership to view. Entries may be in the form of a YouTube or Vimeo link. Links must remain valid and active from submission of works until jury results are received. A secondary attachment of the artist statement as a Word or PDF document is required.

There is no entry fee.

Important Dates

  • Submission Deadline: Friday, April 1, 2022 at 11:59 p.m.

  • Notification of Results: On or before April 18, 2022

  • Arrival or Drop-off of artwork: April 18-22

  • Connections Day events (including Award Presentations): April 28

  • Connections Project Virtual Event: April 25-May 1

  • Pick-Up of Artwork (exact dates will be provided upon acceptance): September 1-15

Fine Print

The Visual and Performing Arts Department at CWI will have the right to use photographs of accepted work for educational and promotional purposes. Beyond such use, the artist retains full copyright of exhibited work. Submission of work will constitution an agreement to this.
