Sherri Lauer began her career in early childhood education as a preschool teacher while attending college. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Developmental Psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara, followed by a master’s degree in Developmental Psychology from San Francisco State University.
With more than 30 years of experience in the field, Lauer has served as both a teacher and program director. She has also contributed to the profession as an accreditation validator for the National Association for the Education of Young Children and as a board member of the Idaho Association for the Education of Young Children. For the past 20 years, she has been teaching early childhood education at the college level.
Lauer is passionate about ensuring children receive the best possible start in life and about supporting those who make that work possible. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys spending time with her family, especially her young grandchildren.
