Mark Vachon has taught psychology at the College of Western Idaho since 2010. He earned his Master of Science in Human Factors Psychology from the University of Idaho. He enjoys helping students discover how psychology can make sense of everyday life, encouraging them to think critically, ask thoughtful questions, and connect psychological science to real-world experiences.
In addition to teaching, Vachon has spent more than 25 years applying psychology as an instructional designer and user experience researcher. His work has focused on understanding human behavior, improving technology through research, and making complex information easier for people to use. He enjoys bringing real-world examples into the classroom to help students see how psychology applies to careers, technology, and everyday life. Outside of work, Vachon enjoys traveling, watching movies, and discovering new music.
