Esteban Paredes

What do I do:  
As Assistant Director of Admissions and Recruitment at College of Western Idahov(CWI), I help lead strategic outreach and recruitment initiatives that connect prospective students with educational opportunities across the Treasure Valley. My role focuses on strengthening enrollment pathways, supporting admissions counselors, building community partnerships, and helping students navigate the process of pursuing higher education.

Biography:  
Esteban Paredes is a higher education leader with more than 20 years of experience in admissions, enrollment management, student advising, and recruitment strategy. Throughout his career, he has focused on expanding access to higher education, developing community and employer partnerships, and supporting students in achieving their academic and professional goals.

Prior to joining CWI, Esteban served as Senior Director of LIFE Admissions and Adjunct Professor at the University of Dubuque LIFE Program in Meridian, Idaho. In this role, he led recruitment initiatives, developed employer education partnerships, and supported undergraduate and graduate students through academic advising and degree planning. Earlier in his career, he held leadership positions in admissions and enrollment management at Kansas Wesleyan University, the University of Texas at Brownsville & Texas Southmost College, Culver-Stockton College, Buena Vista University, and Graceland University.

Originally from Brownsville, Texas, Esteban remains passionate about helping students discover pathways to higher education and building partnerships that strengthen access to college and career opportunities.
