What I Do
Christy Gilliam works with admissions representatives to make sure they have the tools and information to assist students. She oversees both One Stop Student Services locations and staff that are available to help students with the admissions process.
About
Gilliam is a native Idahoan who grew up in Cascade, Idaho. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Education from Northwest Nazarene University and taught for five years in both the public and private sectors. After taking some time off to raise three beautiful girls, she pursued experiences in the field of sales and consumer relations in business for several years.
Gilliam used those experiences to initiate her career in admissions at Northwest Nazarene University where she worked for over eight years in Graduate Admissions and assisted with the launch of Idaho's first Clinical Psychology (Psy.D) doctoral program. She joined College of Western Idaho as the assistant director of Admissions and One Stop to help students begin their first steps in their educational journey.
Gilliam and her husband live in Nampa, Idaho. They enjoy time spent with their daughters, two large Lassie collies, and extended family. She loves cooking, camping, and enjoying time in her floral garden.
