About
Blake Mimish is originally from San Diego, California. He has been in the Northwest for many years now and appreciates all the wonders of Idaho. He likes to be outdoors as much as possible camping, biking, and hiking. After spending 15 years pursuing his dream as a musician, he went back to school in his late 30s and received a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Lewis-Clark State College and a master’s degree in Human Resource Development at Idaho State University.
After finishing with a degree encompassing elementary education, Mimish found that the fire he had inside for elementary education didn’t ignite as strong as it did for the environment of higher education. He believes college is the platform for complete transformation educationally, mentally, and emotionally. He believes college is a journey — a journey he experienced and understands. He appreciates the many challenges the college journey incorporates. His ambitions and motivations are stemmed from seeing students along their journey and allowing them to realize and recognize their strengths within their voyage.
