Onramp at CWI

College of Western Idaho (CWI) is proud to partner with Boise State UniversityIdaho Digital Learning Alliance, and Apple's Community Education Initiative to form the Onramp Program, part of a larger initiative to address current trends in the programming industry and equipping communities with the skills and digital tools they need to help solve challenges.

Focused on technology accessibility, Onramp equips CWI learners with access to digital devices and meaningful learning experiences inside and outside the classroom, while also creating opportunities for children and families to engage in technology-rich experiences across the Treasure Valley. 

Class Offerings

Onramp class offerings introduce users of all skill levels to the fundamentals of design, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills and include Everyone Can Code, for those looking to improve their understanding of Swift programming, and Everyone Can Create, design and communication techniques incorporated into current adult education class offerings. 

Classes are available free to students of all language proficiencies and include: 

  • Digital Creativity
  • Apple Applications & Computer Foundations
  • App Development with Swift Programming (certification available)
