New Student Orientation

Students seeking a degree or certificate at College of Western Idaho (CWI) must complete New Student Orientation prior to being eligible to register for classes. Orientation provides an opportunity for you to:

  • Discover resources, services, and technology available to you on campus.
  • View options for financial aid.
  • Learn how to register for classes.
  • And more!

Complete Orientation

  • Orientation, accessed through Canvas, takes approximately one (1) hour to complete.
  • Completion status may take up to five (5) hours to appear in the system.

Note: In addition to New Student Orientation, many of CWI's Career and Technical Education programs have program-specific orientations you may be required to complete.

Orientation Assistance

Need help completing your New Student Orientation or need access to a computer lab? Attend the New Student Orientation Completion Event for support as you work through the process. Get help signing in to your student account, obtain your student ID card, schedule an advising appointment, connect with staff, and enjoy some snacks.
