Program Overview
Aspiring to be a leader in the fire and emergency services field? College of Western Idaho’s (CWI) Fire Service Management program is tailored to those who want to excel in this critical and dynamic field. The program’s curriculum, based on National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards and International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC) certified program requirements, offers both a Basic Technical Certificate and an Associate of Arts degree to align with your career goals.
With instruction provided by experienced local fire department trainers and command staff, this program offers practical insights into fire service leadership. The curriculum places a strong emphasis on developing leadership competencies, with classes in fire officer training and electives developed by executive leadership teams from local fire departments.
