Eastern Oregon University (EOU) strengthened its partnership with College of Western Idaho (CWI) through an expanded Memorandum of Understanding. The new articulation agreement became official during a formal signing ceremony Monday, Nov. 6, in Nampa.

EOU President, Tom Insko, and CWI President, Bert Glandon, signed the document in the President’s Conference Room at the Nampa Campus Administration Building.

James Jansen, CWI’s Dean of Extended Instruction, was present for the signing. Jansen said the agreement has been a long-time coming, a culmination of three years of work between EOU and CWI.

“EOU truly understands community college students and they really make an effort to reach out to schools in the region,” said Jansen. “EOU knows where our students are coming from and help guide them to achieve a baccalaureate degree,” he said.

The agreement provides an opportunity for CWI students to apply up to 80 hours of eligible lower division credits to an EOU bachelor’s degree and a smooth transfer without losing credits.
