About:
Maria is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) that has worked with a variety of populations ranging from: university students, couples, families, adolescents, veterans, children, adults, LGBTQ+ populations, and rural/underserved populations. She started her career in health care and utilizes an integrated mind-body approach within her counseling. She sees clients from all walks of life and is honored to share in their stories. In regards to her style of counseling, she follows a collaborative, team-oriented, empathetic approach to counseling while still continuing to challenge her clients. She has a special interest in attachment, mind-body medicine, intuitive eating, body positivity, trauma, LBTQ+ issues and mood disorders.
In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband, dog, and two cats. Her hobbies include: salsa and bachata, swing dancing, drawing, reading, yoga and thrifting.
