Denim Day

Published: April 19, 2023

Two College of Western Idaho (CWI) Social Work students, along with the College’s Counseling and Wellness Services, will host Denim Day, an event to raise awareness and educate others on sexual abuse, Wednesday, April 26.

Students, Tanis Koenig and Michelle Juhasz, are encouraging the CWI community to wear denim to show support for sexual assault survivors and eliminate victim blaming. The day will bring representatives from WCA, Faces of Hope, and Advocates Against Family Violence to campus to provide educational material and support resources.

There will also be CWI student clubs to learn about and activities for participants, including a large swath of denim to sign and take the Denim Day pledge.
