Our take: Otter’s State of the State address offered a checklist of goals – from tax relief to education funding to employee raises – but was sketchy and lacking detail.
If you listened to Otter’s State of the State and budget address you probably felt a bit relieved. It was a message of hope for Idahoans. Otter talked of possible tax relief, bonuses for state employees and teachers, restored funding for education and he wants even more funding for College of Western Idaho, one of the nation’s fastest growing community colleges. He also wants to build jobs and set aside money in a rainy day fund.
