Visiting Artist Series—Shakespearience

Published: February 9, 2018

College of Western Idaho’s (CWI) Visiting Artist Series is proud to welcome the Idaho Shakespeare Festival’s (ISF) Shakespearience program to the Nampa Campus Academic Building (NCAB) Tuesday, Feb. 20, from 7 to 8 p.m. to perform Julius Caesar. This classic drama of intrigue and allegiance is the ultimate historical thriller and on the reading list of many schools across Idaho and the United States. Caesar has returned victorious to Rome, but amid the celebrations are crosscurrents of unrest that will threaten the very foundation of the Republic. Caesar’s best friend, Brutus, will be forced to decide the future of Rome and in the process will knock history off its course.

The performance, suitable for all ages, will be sign interpreted (ASL). An acting workshop by ISF will be hosted following the performance in NCAB, room 206, from 8 to 9 p.m.

CWI’s Visiting Artist Series is made possible through a grant from Idaho Commission on the Arts, which is supported by National Endowment for the Arts. Visiting Artist Series workshops, featuring visual and performing artists, are free and open to the public.
